Inspired by a true story, this movie features a black high schooler named Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron). While living on the wrong side of Memphis he manages to start attending a private Christian school on the good side of Memphis. His performance is not as good so his stay at the school becomes compromised. That would complicate matters seriously as he is actually homeless.
A white Tuohy family get drawn to this student after observing him for some months until the wife, Leigh Anne (Sandra Bullock) decides to invite him over for Thanksgiving. As the family starts spending more time with the boy, their relationship grows. This supportive experience gives Michael a second chance and rewards the family with unforeseen changes.

This book and the movie covers an awesome story that challenges all of us on how we should look at and care for each other, regardless of circumstances. The fact that it is a true story only makes it all the better. A family-friendly book and movie that all kids will enjoy.
